Project summary

The AUTODESCAM project aims to design and validate an intelligent self-disinfection system for live animal transport vehicles to address relevant microbiological hazards such as Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes and PRRS. This innovative system will improve biosecurity in the livestock sector by increasing water efficiency and reducing chemical waste.

Through the automated nebulisation of disinfectant products, the proposed system enables a significant reduction in water consumption (up to 90%, decreasing from 120 litres in conventional processes to only 12 litres per disinfection). In addition, a mobile application will be integrated to ensure regulatory compliance and facilitate data management, connecting it to the RECELIDE platform to guarantee full traceability.
